Geral Owen

Geral Lynn Owen, 67, of Royse City and previously of Garland, passed away Oct. 5, 2009.

He was born Jan. 9, 1942, in Fort Worth to William Thomas and Winnie V. (Norris) Owen. Geral was an electrician with Olympic Electric and A-Electric in Dallas.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Owen of Royse City; a son, Grey Owen and wife Khrisi of Royse City; daughter Lynn Owen of Garland; father Duro E. Seay of Garland; brothers Tom Owen and wife Beverly of Garland, David Seay and wife Patti of Grand Saline and Randy Seay and wife Kim of Garland; sisters Charlene Morrison and husband Gregg of Garland and Diane Orr and husband Tommy of Madill, Okla.; grandchildren Shealee and Bayley Owen of Royse City; and many grandanimals, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m., Oct. 8, at First Baptist Church, 900 Pullen, Royse City with Pastor Chad Hays officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.

Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall chapel was in charge of arrangements.
