Virginia Dyer
Virginia Dyer, 95, of Royse City, passed away Jan. 16, 2010.
She was born April 23, 1914, in Kaufman County to John and Jessie Mae Carroll Harris. Virginia enjoyed sewing and worked as a seamstress for many years. She also enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Virginia is survived by her children, Odis Dyer and wife Ann of Quinlan, Al Dyer and wife Dorothy of Campbell, Jessie Duehring and husband Mike of Quinlan, Barbara Gray and husband Dean of Royse City and Jane Childers and husband Eddie of Greenville; grandchildren Edwin, Joy, Richard and Rodney Dyer, Sherry Leblonde, Kristi Dawson, Jerry Bostick, Lori Stapleton, Kellie Jones, Deana West, James Gray, Dustin and Brandon Rener; numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters Nettie Clifton and husband Charlie of Quinlan, Alma Nan Pyles of Mesquite and Bennie Dollarhyde of Grand Saline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence Dyer, daughter Joyce Chipman, four brothers, one sister and stepgrandson Chip Chipman.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m., Jan. 19, at Royse City Cemetery with Rev. Joe Hewitt officiating.
Pallbearers included Dustin Rener, Brandon Rener, Rodney Dyer, Justin West, Dakota Dawson and James Gray.
Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City chapel was in charge of arrangements.
