Two area men were among the dozens of individuals indicted by the Hunt County grand jury.
A Royse City man was charged with multiple counts of indecency with a child, and a count of sexual assault. An individual from Rowlett was charged with aggravated assault.
The charges against the pair were among 46 returned Friday by the grand jury, as it began its six-month term of serving indictments for consideration by the 196th District Court. Eight of the indictments were issued sealed, pending the arrest and arraignment of the person or persons named in the charges.
— Ronnie Dean Welch, 52, of Royse City, received one indictment containing three counts of indecency with a child and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child. Welch was alleged in the indictment to have molested a teenage female victim on multiple occasions between Sept. 1, 2006 and Oct. 14, 2009.
He was arrested on Nov. 21, 2009.
— Gordon Jeffery Boehnke, 30, of Rowlett, was indicted on one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon by threat. The indictment alleged Boehnke used a handgun to threaten a female victim on Nov. 20, 2009.
